We were contacted and asked how to get Velcro off an RV, this is a persons experience with a Velcro skirt (not ours) this is why we try not to recommend a Velcro install for skirting. Our skirting is only one season old!
Some experiences with Velcro ... When the skirting is not in use, the exposed half that is on the trailer collects junk when sitting in storage and when in transit When it rains, the exposed half collects water, then discolors badly (even turning green), and is virtually not possible to clean The exposed half is hit by the sun and the nature of the Velcro is breaking down Virtually all of our Velcro on the trailer must be removed and replaced (ergo my first earlier email); and it going to be a huge job and I wouldn't wish it on anybody In fairness to this type of system, if given an opportunity to change my mind, I would never have agreed this attachment format. It has messed up our trailer and is, frankly, rather unsightly. I honestly don't know if we'll be able to properly clean up this mess; we're going to give it a good try however. And the fact that this system is only one season old makes me very unhappy; we now have to redo it all.
My recommendation to you customers is to stay away from this option. Our experience is most unsatisfactory.
Cheers. M.
