| Is my Skirt done yet? Did you start it?
We don't start a skirt until we get a deposit, we tried the honor
system, didn't work. If you have not paid a deposit we have not started
your skirt, we prefer 1/2 down and the other 1/2 when we ship it
out. We do not want all your money at once, too many people 3 days
later asking where my skirt is... " I paid you" the average
skirt takes 2 weeks to make from start to finish

Why get a skirt?
Energy saving --Propane, our customers tell us they save at least
50% on propane bills. Keeps critters out, covers tires, stops from pipe
freezing.
Please do not send a picture of your RV diagram with measurements
on it, there is a whole lot more to a skirt than just this, contact
me first!
When should I get a skirt or order a kit?
If it is August you had better order as soon as possible if the idea
of being warm this winter is an appealing thought. We have been busy
this summer from people thinking ahead and those that we could not get
to this last winter. Just don't be mad a t me when you call after
the ground is frozen and you need a "skirt right now"
and we cannot get to it right away.
Why not use wood or Styrofoam?
Actually wood might have better insulation value, but
how long does it take to put up wood or Styrofoam? now to take it apart
and move, AND haul it with you or buy new materials when you get to the
next place, how many hours involved? Our skirting is designed to put up
and take down in an hour after the first installation. It is also
designed for uneven locations, and it packs away smaller and is lighter.
Access,
Is there access under my 5th Wheel?
YES!, we normally make the front part of the skirt into 3 parts
with zippers at the corners, easy to get in and use the area, also easy to pack
it up and move.
How often are the turn-buttons or snaps?
The turn-buttons are every 12", snaps are every 9".
We prefer turn-buttons but will use snaps or Velcro if you request.
My Sewer Access?
My We put in a double headed zipper for your sewer or
sewers so the hose can come out through the skirt and hook up. We make these
zippers Vertical or Horizontal depending on your set up. If your sewer valves
are below the skirt we also make a zipper access to those. A double headed
zipper closes around the sewer.
Hardware Included?
Yes all skirts have all the hardware needed to hang the skirts,
only the Local Custom Skirting comes with the nails, pvc pipe and bags.
How many pieces will my skirt be in?
A small pull trailer with 1 slide might have 5 pieces, a 5th
wheel with 2 slides would have 8 pieces, most skirts are 5 to 11 pieces.
Why do we not get bags with any skirt but the
custom local ones?
We are trying to save you money, all the other skirting is $500 less
or more, this is why we also do not include nails or PVC pipe with our
cheaper skirts.
My side cabinet doors are very low how do I get
access?
We can possibly make the skirt below the doors, do a cut out down
around or do a small Velcro flap that will flip down when you need in
the doors
What about my Generator exhaust?
We usually make a slit for the generator pipe with binding on the
edge, it is large enough to put a larger pipe around the exhaust and
stick out further than the skirt, do this so the skirt does not touch
the hot pipe and if the skirt flexes it will not cover the exhaust when
in use. Or we have other ideas.
Why use turn-buttons rather than snaps or Velcro?
Turn-buttons are put on with 2 screws 1-1/4" apart, it
makes them very stable, even when used on very light metal on an RV.
They turn and you are done, no pulling and tugging or pushing hard to
get the skirt on.

Why are there snaps on the ends of my slide-out and
under my door?
the slide-out might not go in and out with turn-buttons on the
ends. Snaps are put under the door area so you do not trip or
catch your foot on them.
I'm not sure I like the way you make your skirt,
will you make it my way?
Certainly, we are always open to new ideas. We have made skirts just
as people have wanted, chain in the bottom, no nail down straps but
longer, with d-rings or grommets at the bottom, even grommets on the
top, even nothing on the top to hang it-this customer planned to screw
his to his home made camper. We are happy to make it your way!
I've heard plastic zippers break do you use them?
Our zippers are YKK Marinemate #10, the largest they make, nylon
zippers with a Metal zipper pull, most things on a zipper that breaks is
the pull, ours are metal, they do not usually break. If they do we can
get new zipper heads.
What if something is wrong with my skirt when I get
it?
We try to take care of our customers, we have made mistakes and try
to take care of that. We have even helped out customers when they made
the mistake. We want you business.
Your skirt is not insulated, will you make an insulated skirt?
We can make insulated skirting, it is alot to ship, some places offer
2 layers of thinner skirt material with insulation in the middle, we use
the same 18 ounce- not thinner. We do have other ideas to help and save
you money in this area
What will you skirt, I live in a semi trailer for
long periods of time?
We have skirted A LOT of things, semi trailers, office trailers,
Bathroom Trailers,, pump
trailers, park models, a mobile bank, a log home, a Yurt, on the small end, trailers as
small as 13', truck campers, tent trailers and we are open to
more!
You traveled to me before will you come here again?
we plan to stay more local to the Northern Colorado area, but do have
a huge amount of family in Texas, we might travel lightly in the spring
and summer, in the past we never really charged travel charges or kept
them low, and paid for this. Now we would charge for travel and
employee time to get to you, we could do a few skirts on a trip, but we
are busy just staying home now. We are close to I-25 & I-80 if you
are headed through.
I've tried to get a skirt from you before and
you never got to me!?!
With driving around the USA this happened a lot, we would have a
schedule but something would happen, a breakdown, used too much material
and had no more, DOT issues, something needed attention at home... You
name it...it happened to us. We learned if we stay closer to home and
also have mail order skirting we can get more people covered, save money
and save you money. We also have more help available now. Ours is a
family business and staying home we have more access to more
family. We are trying to be better in all areas.
When is the best time to get a skirt?
We can make a skirt anytime, the spring February to June are the best
times for the quickest skirt, it is our slower time. From July 1st
to February 1 EVERYONE wants a skirt and wants it now.
Your skirts appear to be a bit loose fitting, why?
We don't make our skirts super tight, they need to be a bit
loose-especially when the ends connect with Velcro, skirting material
can shrink and stretch depending on the weather. Your skirt can be
a bit loose to fit in the extreme cold.
After ordering the skirt I find I don't need it, do
you give refunds?
Basic answer NO! it is custom made for your RV. We can
help you sell it or something but there are no refunds.
What if my skirt does not fit right?
We will fix it and make it right, even if it is your fault, we want
you to be happy and able to use your skirt, we will try to make any
alterations you may need or send a glue on zipper or something to help,
but we will not refund your money.
Is it true you won't make an RV Skirt for a Lawyer?
YES. We make skirts for working or retired people living in the
real world without a lot of double talk or useless use of words. Someday
I'll scan the letter of my experience with a lawyer for a skirt. I'd
even skirt a car salesman's RV before a lawyer's
